The influence of the Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) continues to reach long and wide even though it is not one of the 'four great' weeks of fashion, and that influence means that it also continues to forge associations beyond the borders of Denmark. The last one is with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
CPHFW and V & A are collaborating for the edition of V&A Fashion in Motion in May 2025. The showcase will present five key emerging designers of Denmark “celebrating creativity, expressiveness and innovation that Copenhagen's fashion week has become a pioneer.”
“As part of a concerted approach in strengthening its relationship with the creative and cultural industry of the United Kingdom,” the CPHFW 30 can perform three exhibitions in the V&A inside the Raphael court with the collections of five designers. Four of them are part of the CPHFW Newtalent program, including Alectra Rothschild/Male, Berner Kühl, Bonnetje and Stamm. The other is the 2024 winner of the Wessel & Vett fashion award, Stem.
The V & A's Fashion In Motion series has an high international profile and has platforms British and international designers key to the public since 1999.
The five designers will present “six key looks that embody their vision and cover their dedication to creative crafts and expression.”

Meanwhile, CPHFW has announced the members of its Show & Presentation committee for SS26 and also underline its international scope. They include Bruce Pass, senior editorial director of Neiman Marcus; Emily Chan, senior sustainability editor, British Vogue; Ida Petersson, founder of Good Eggs; Maud Pupato, Printemps Purchase Director; Sara Sozzani Maino, creative director of Fondazione Sozzani; and Tiffany Hsu, director of purchase of Mytheresa, among others.
