The historic mayor of Plaza, a milestone with more than 400 years of history, was chosen as the place of the show. The creative director Wes Gordon expressed his admiration for the symbolic space, which became a source of inspiration for the collection.

“Plaza Mayor is the heart of Madrid, one of the places that establishes the rhythm of the city. His energy envelops you instantly and was a source of inspiration for the Spring-Summer 26 collection,” said the designer in a statement published on Tuesday.

Gordon, who studied at Central Saint Martins in London, was appointed creative director of Carolina Herrera in 2018. It happened to the Venezuelan founder of the house, Carolina Herrera, who moved away from her design role that year.

The event will be preceded by a private welcome dinner on September 17, which was attended by notable names of fashion and art worlds. A subsequent party will follow the program, during which the new brand fragrance, “La Bomba” will be announced.

Under the direction of Gordon, the brand has modernized its identity while maintaining its elegant DNA. Carolina Herrera's designs have won traction between the youngest audience, with celebrities such as Rosalia and Katy Perry hugging the style of the label, while loyal long -standing users include Michelle Obama and Renée Zellweger.
