From dresses and colorful hats to bags and shoes, the items that belong to the late Princess Diana are put under the hammer this month in what Julien's auctions says is the largest collection of her fashion to go to the auction.
The live and online sale “Princess Diana's Style & A Royal Collection” will take place on June 26 at the Peninsula Beverly Hills, offering a variety of fashion items that Diana carried.
“This is Princess Diana's auction because we have more than 100 articles from her incredible life and career … taking into account that Diana herself … sold more than 70 of her dresses … in 1997 to raise money for her beneficial organization,” Martin Nolan, executive and co -founder director of Julien's auctions, said on Monday. I was talking on the icons of the Museum of style in Newbridge in Ireland during a previous exhibition.
Among the most prominent aspects is a floral dress of 1988 silk by Bellville Sassoon, called “affectionate dress” because Diana used it several times on hospital visits, with a price estimate of $ 200,000- $ 300,000.
A cream embroidery night dress, Catherine Walker, designed for Diana's Gulf Tour Tour has a similar price, while a two-piece yellow floral set of Bruce Oldfield that was carrying for Royal Ascot in 1987 is estimated at $ 100,000- $ 200,000.
Other sales items include a dior bag that the former French first lady Bernadette Chirac gave him in 1995, a 1981 Diana wedding dress sketch with tulle fabric cuts when she married Prince Charles in 1981 and a peach hat she wore for her honeymoon shipment.
The auction also includes pieces that belong to other British reais, including the late Queen Elizabeth II and Mother Reina.
Nolan said Julien's auctions had previously sold a dress belonging to Diana for $ 1.14 million.
“People consider these articles as a class of assets now, because if people possess these items today, they will probably sell them for what they pay (en) an auction,” he said.
Part of the income of the sale of Diana articles will be used for muscle dystrophy of the United Kingdom charity.
The previous exhibition in Newbridge will run until June 17.
