Andam presents a glamorous, film-loving 2024 jury

Béatrice Dalle, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Rossy de Palma are among the members of the Andam (National Association for the Development of Fashion Arts) jury this year, mainly coming from the world of cinema. They were chosen by the creative director of Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello, sponsor of this 35th edition of the competition for young fashion designers and president of the jury. The designer selected thirteen guest members, who will join the permanent jury of 22 members representing the main sponsors of the Andam award.

No less than six of the thirteen invited members are from the film industry. In addition to the three actresses already mentioned, there is the actress Virginie Efira, the actor Niels Schneider and the director Gaspar Noé. It is also a way of underlining the links of the Kering group with the seventh art, which last year created the production company Saint Laurent Productions and worked with Gaspar Noé in the medium-length film Lux Æterna, starring the house's muses Béatrice Dalle and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

The jury of the contest, founded in 1989 by Nathalie Dufour, its general director, at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Le Défi, is also made up this year of the singer and composer Carla Bruni, the former editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, Emmanuelle Alt , the writer Virginie Despentes, the journalist Augustin Trapenard, the singer Rosé of the South Korean group Blackpink and the models Anja Rubik and Alek Wek.

Andam launched its apps and 35th anniversary celebrations in January. This year, as in 2023, the contest has a total prize of 700,000 euros. The list of finalists will be announced at the end of May.

The winners of the competition will be chosen by the jury on June 27, 2024. Five prizes will be awarded: the Andam Grand Prize (300,000 euros), the Special Grand Prize (100,000 euros), the Pierre Bergé Prize (100,000 euros), the Fashion Accessories (100,000 euros) and Innovation Award (100,000 euros), which will be announced in the coming days.
