The influence of the Copenhagen Fashion Week (CPHFW) continues to spread beyond what is shown on its clues and only a few months after BFC was linked to implement sustainability rules for London, Amsterdam Fashion Week (AFW) has announced a new association.
It is joining forces with CPHFW “to accelerate the sustainability actions of the industry in Nordic and Beneux fashion markets.”
AFW will launch the sustainability requirements framework developed by CPHFW for its official show program.
It begins with a one -year pilot phase to incorporate the minimum standards in its existing admission criteria and the complete implementation will enter into force in September 2026.
During the next Amsterdam fashion week that begins on August 30, around 30 brands presented in the official schedule of the program “will be measured against the requirements of the sustainability framework.”
