Adidas presents the Melbourne SS24 collection

Adidas has unveiled its SS24 Melbourne collection to mark the start of the 2024 Grand Slam season. Airchill technology, an Adidas first in tennis, works in conjunction with Heat.Rdy material technology to help players perform in the heat of the moment.

Airchill material technology promotes cooling through embossed pattern motifs and mesh layers with thermal zones. The lightness of Airchill helps the skin breathe (deliberately placed in areas of high sweating and evaporation) under the armpits, chest and back. Embossed patterns and open mesh fabrics are designed to optimize airflow during high-intensity training and matches.

The footwear, clothing and accessories manufacturer Adidas has presented its Melbourne SS24 collection for the 2024 Grand Slam season, incorporating Airchill technology, Heat.Rdy material to improve the performance of tennis players. The Airchill material uses thermal zone motifs, strategically placed mesh layers in high sweat areas, providing effective cooling.

The 26-piece range for men and women also features a calm color palette and pattern mix, specially designed to help evoke a sense of calm. The spectrum of greens, including the key ‘Green Spark’ color scheme, inspired by the natural phenomena of bioluminescence, was carefully chosen for its soft, bright hues, while the prints that adorn the fabric emulate fractal shapes recurring in nature .

“One of the most important factors to be a successful tennis player is to maintain composure and enjoy yourself. This is especially important in the first major tournament of the season, which sets the stage for the rest of the year. It’s crucial to remember the love of the game that drew me to the sport in the first place. For me, staying calm and collected in the heat of the moment allows me to play the best I can,” said elite tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Top pieces for women include the Airchill Dress Pro, Airchill Match Tank Pro, and Aero.Rdy Skirt Pro. For men, top pieces include the Airchill FreeLift T-Shirt Pro, Mesh Layering T-Shirt Pro, and Printed Heat.Rdy Ergo Short Pro 7 Inch, the company said in a press release.
