Weber State hires Damian Lillard as GM basketball


Damian Lillard returns to university, this time as general manager of the state of Weber, where he once starred.

The school said that Lillard “will work in close collaboration with the coaching staff and leadership of the Athletics Department to provide information, tutoring and guidance, using their experience at the university and professional level to raise the program.”

A nine times there from the NBA, Lillard signed again with the Trail Blazers last month after he was renounced by the Milwaukee Bucks. Lillard, 35, is rehabilitating a breakage of the left Achilles tendon suffered in April and is unlikely to play in 2025-26.
