Welcome to week 3 of the University Softball Season 2025. During the weekend, we saw some notable discomforts and an excellent invitational Clearwater game. So how do the best programs accumulate in Softball now after all the action?
There has been a movement in the Top 10 after Florida, UCLA and Texas A&M suffered losses. San Diego State and Liberty debut in the classifications after impressive performances in Clearwater. And the difficult losses for Alabama, Missouri and Oklahoma State have those sliding programs.

Week
How about a triple game to seal the deal? After losing to Pitt at the beginning of the weekend, Houston sought revenge and finally came out at the top. The triple game of the Cougars to win was the first of the 2025 season. Houston is in 8-2 in the season and will enter this week in a streak of three consecutive victories.

Player to see
Michaela Edenfield, C, Florida state. All eyes were in the seminoles in Clearwater invitational, thanks in part to Edenfield. He had nine ranges, including three home runs, for an average .700 batting during the weekend. Many are known by many as “Area 51” due to their shirt number and its ability to hit the home run (it occupies the fourth place in the history of FSU with 46 career homers). Edenfield is an X factor to observe FSU during this season.
What to see
No. 6 Tennessee vs. No. 4 UCLA (Friday at 6:30 pm)
Who does not love a confrontation among the top 10 of the season? Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic of this year will surely bring a lot of fun and stand out for this game. UCLA is looking to return to the track after losing a pink against Virginia in Clearwater Invitational, while Tennessee slipped during his unharmed weekend. The best batter of the VOLS, Taylor Pannell, who seeks to maintain his streak of eight games in progress, facing UCLA elite launch staff will be an unmissable television.
