If you didn't think Miami Dolphins star receiver Tyreek Hill was serious about competing with Noah Lyles, the American Olympic sprinter who won gold in the 100-meter final in Paris, he made things official Sunday.
Hill posted above a video of Lyles speaking with former NFL stars Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, where he urged the speedster to “sign the contract and lock down that 50-yard dash…”
Sharpe and Johnson both mentioned Hill recently, saying he would beat Lyles in a race, to which the latter responded with applause.

“I'll put it this way: Tyreek is just looking for clout,” Lyles said. “Every time someone fast comes up, he says he wants to compete with him. If he really wanted to compete with others, he would have shown up as DK Metcalf. And the guy ran the 60 meters in the masters division. The guy dodges smoke. I don't have time for that.”
Lyles is referring to Metcalf, the Seattle Seahawks' star receiver, who competed in the USA Track & Field Golden Games three years ago, where he ran the 100 meters in 10.37 seconds. He placed eighth, but many praised his efforts after he said, “I thought I did pretty good.”
DOLPHINS' TYREEK HILL CONFIDENT HE COULD BEAT NOAH LYLES IN SPRINT, BETTING ON GOLD MEDALIST DESPITE COVID
Hill, meanwhile, competed in last year's USATF Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 60-meter dash, which she won. It was Hill's first time running on a track in nine years.
After criticizing Hill, Lyles said he would seriously consider a run with the Dolphins star if proper channels were followed.
“If you're serious about it, if you're really serious about it, and I don't mean just talking on the Internet and not coming to talk to me and saying to my agent, 'Let's do something. ' If you're serious about it, you'll see me on the court,” he said.
Hill appears to be saying there is a contract available for a 50-yard rush, so the ball appears to be in Lyles' court now.
The conflict between Hill and Lyles began when the former made an appearance on the show “Up and Adams,” where he took jabs at the “Fastest Man Alive” by mentioning the situation in Paris, where Lyles revealed he was diagnosed with COVID-19 after a poor performance in the 200-meter race, his best event.
Lyles ended up winning bronze.
“Noah Lyles can't say anything after what he just went through,” Hill said. “Then he wants to go out and pretend he's sick. I think that's just silly. For him to do that and say we're not world champions of our sport, let's talk about what we know and that's what track is all about.”
“I'd beat Noah Lyles… I wouldn't beat him by much, but I'd beat Noah Lyles. When I beat him, I'll put on a COVID mask and let him know I'm serious.”
Hill later took to social media to say she likes her chances of competing at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Hill ran track in high school, where his best time in the 100 meters was 10.19, while Lyles won the event with a time of 9.79.
