Travis Kelce had a quiet first half in Super Bowl LVIII. The nine-time Pro Bowl tight end had one catch for just one yard midway through the second quarter.
Kelce appeared to struggle with being on the bench after a key offensive play early in the second half. Patrick Mahomes found Mecole Hardman with just over 13 minutes left before halftime.
Kelce was then removed from the game on the next play, much to his chagrin. Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco fumbled on the next play, which seemed to trigger an emotional response from Kelce.

He started screaming and eventually collided with Andy Reid. Kelce's contact caused the Chiefs coach to stumble, but he was able to regain his balance and stay upright.
Kelce seemed to demand that Reid keep him in the game.

CBS Sports reporter Tracy Wolfson also reported that Kelce hit his helmet in frustration when he initially went to the Kansas City bench.
Chiefs reserve running back Jerick McKinnon stepped in and pulled Kelce away.
Aside from Mahomes' 52-yard pass to Hardman, the Chiefs' offense largely struggled in the first half. Mahomes finished the first two quarters of the game with 123 passing yards and had a pair of sacks.
