Transfer Talk: Toney misses out as Saudi giants Al Ahli circle the club

The summer transfer window is open! Transfer Talk brings you all the latest on rumours, comings and goings and, of course, done deals!

TOP STORY: Toney sits on the sidelines as Saudis hover

Al Ahli are in advanced negotiations to sign the Brentford striker Ivan Toneyinformation Fabricius Romano.

The England international has been left out of Brentford's squad for their opening Premier League game against Crystal Palace on Sunday amid ongoing uncertainty over his future.

Brentford last week rejected a £35m bid from Al Ahli, however the Saudi side have earmarked the 28-year-old as a priority target this summer, suggesting their interest will not be dampened by the rejected offer.

Brentford are under pressure to find a solution to the current situation, with Toney having just one year left on his contract. If Thomas Frank's side do not facilitate his exit this summer, they risk losing their talisman for free next year.

While Toney has already attracted considerable interest from other Premier League clubs such as Arsenal and Chelsea, no move has been finalised so a move to Saudi Arabia is most likely.
