Titans' Will Levis changes cell phone number after it's leaked amid rocky start: 'I got a lot of texts'


Tennessee Titans Quarterback Will Levis is trying to quiet the noise after a rough start to the season, but that's a challenge when his biggest critics have his phone number.

Levis told reporters on Wednesday that he would change his cell phone number after it was somehow leaked to the public.

“What I'm doing today is getting a new phone number. I don't know how my number got out to the fans, but I got a lot of text messages,” he said. Main Street in Nashville. “It would be nice to close that part and leave it behind.”

Levi's second season in The NFL It's not off to a great start and one can imagine what the context of the messages he received was.

He had five turnovers in the Titans' first two games and was at the center of two costly fumbles, including last weekend when first-year coach Brian Callahan yelled a profanity at Levis in a moment captured on television.

The other fumble resulted in a touchdown for the Chicago Bears.

Aside from changing his number, Levis told reporters Wednesday that he has been avoiding social media altogether.

“I think it's the healthiest way to go about it. I don't want or care to hear anything people say about me and I'm going to move on regardless of what they say. It's a shame the world is the way it is and I'm looking forward to some privacy.”

Callahan also spoke to reporters Wednesday. He said he believes Levis has shown improvement from Week 1 to Week 2, but said there is a sense of urgency to fix his issues quickly.

“It's the nature of the NFL, especially in the early part of the season, how quickly you can improve your team and what you do well,” he said. “I'm very pleased with the way he played most of the time, and that didn't change after we watched the film.”
