The New York Yankees were everything to George Costanza on the hit comedy “Seinfeld,” and the organization honors the legendary character with its own bobblehead during the season.
The Yankees posted on social media that one of their promotional nights will feature George Costanza bobbleheads for 18,000 fans on July 5 against the Boston Red Sox.
“Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle…Constanza?!?” the caption read in the Yankees' post last Friday.

The doll shows Costanza, played by Jason Alexander in the comedy, holding a bat with a cute right-handed batting stance. She wears a light blue collared shirt with a tie and black pants. There's also the “Seinfeld” show logo on the front.
It also features the words “Assistant Traveling Secretary” at the bottom, which was Costanza's job with the Yankees on the show. His dream was always to work for the Yankees.
Yankees fans flooded the comments after seeing the promo, saying how much they need it.
'SEINFELD' STAR JASON ALEXANDER ADDRESSES REBOOT RUMORS: 'NO ONE CALLED ME'
“This is the best doll I have ever seen,” wrote one X user.
Costanza worked in his fictional role with the Yankees for several seasons. He first appeared in the episode titled “The Opposite” of season five.
“A job with the New York Yankees! This has been my life's dream since I was a kid, and all of this is happening because I'm completely ignoring every impulse toward common sense and good judgment I've ever had,” Costanza saying.
The doll's design is also based on the suit that Costanza wears when he teaches a thing or two about how to hit to Yankees greats Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams in season eight.
“Hitting is not about muscle,” Costanza tells Jeter and Williams at Yankee Stadium. “It's simple physics. Calculate the velocity, v, relative to the trajectory, t, at which g, gravity, of course, remains constant.”
