The best transfers for women so far: Katoto, Brand, Alber, more

The Transfer Window of the Super League Female (WSL) has been open since June 18, while the rest of the European leagues open their own on July 1. As such, the rumor is in action, but some interesting movements have already been agreed.

Here is a look at some of the best offers in women's football so far.

Marie-Antoinette Katoto (Paris Saint-Germain to Ol Lyonnes)

Katoto is widely considered one of the best strikers in women's football. With 156 goal contributions in 136 appearances in the League for Paris Saint-Germain, the 25-year-old is already a veteran. She has a great appetite for the goals and has obtained more than 15 in five of her seven seasons in the French League, reaching the mark of more than 20 times three times in that period.

The International of France adds a volume of high quality shots as it constantly gets in good areas. She has an expected objective (XG) differential (goals less XG) of more than 16 in the last three seasons of the League, and has averaged almost seven touches within the penalty of the opposition per game since 2021-22.

Katoto has everything in his repertoire. Its objectives range from Tap-Ins to headers to attacks from acute angles under pressure, and combines elite movement in the box with an expert game.

While this movement reinforces the attack of Ol Lyonnes, it also weakens its greatest national rivals: PSG. The Parisian side has lost two of its pillars in attack on Ol Lyonnes, Kadidiatou Diani and Katoto, in recent years. And, with Katoto, Ada Hegerberg and Melchie Dumornay, Lyon now has possibly the most powerful attack in all women's football.

Jue Brand (Wolfsburg A Ol Lyonnes)

Brand is one of the 10 players that Volfsburg leaves this summer. Promoted as one of the brightest talents in Europe, the 21 -year -old has already played five full seasons in Germany, averaging a contribution of goals every two games.

He recorded more than six touches within the opposition box per game in the last three seasons, despite starting par in par, and loves to lead his opponents with his long steps helping to move possession for the field quickly. Its average six dribbles per game in the last three seasons put it in the upper percentile of the extremes throughout Europe. And, despite the fact that a great volume of them occurs in a last third full of people, he boasted a success rate of almost 49% last season.

Last season, Brand began to pick up the ball a little deeper and more than double its haules in the final third of 1.1 per game in 2023-24 to 3.2 per game in 2024-25. It will be adjusted to this side of Ol Lyonnes, which is deadly in the transition, like a glove.

Mara Alber (Hoffenheim to Chelsea)

Alber is the latest incorporation to a long list of young talents that bind to Chelsea. Through the Hoffenheim Academy, he first attracted attention when he played for Germany in the Women's World Cup U17 in 2022, where he collected two goals and three assists.

She achieved six goals and five assists for her club in 2023-24, playing most of her minutes in the right wing, although she has proven to be versatile and can play anywhere on the front line. However, an ankle injury kept it out of most of the next season.

Alber is regularly presented as a pass option, often picking up the ball in the middle of the turn and back to the goal, and received more than eight progressive passes per game in 2023-24. His excellent feet game and close control allow him to break the defensive lines with his dribbles and, when played in the wing, he has the quality of putting in excellent crosses.

In fact, he created 20 opportunities and put 38 crosses in his 1,184 minutes in the field during the 2023-24 season, while his willingness to press makes it a complete and malleable perspective. It should give flexibility to Chelsea Sonia bompletor chief in each tactical configuration and could be a Gamechanger.

Vanessa Gilles (Ol Lyonnes al Bayern de Munich)

The Bayern Munich has been a dominant force in the country in recent years, but the Gilles firm of the eight times European champions is a step to make a greater impact on the Champions League.

Gilles, 29, was an integral part of the defense of Ol Lyonnes last season, playing most of the minutes of the league of any gardener (1,325), and formed a solid association as a rock with Wendie Renard in the central defense that saw on the side grant only seven goals in the league.

The former Angel City FC defender does not usually jump into eruprene challenges, but he is an incredible defender in his own box, cleaning practically everything that is presented to him. She is an imposing figure against the drbers in a vs. A situations and has a success rate of 78.6% in its approach duels, the second highest in Lyon and the sixth best in France. Although his death under pressure is an area in which he could improve.

It is also an imposing presence in both penalty boxes, which makes it a threat of established pieces. In fact, she is a main objective of the corners and scored six goals last season, the most for any defender in the French league.

His addition provides the new Bayern José Barcala manager with three background options of the formidable and experienced center in Glodis Vígarsdottir, Magdalena Eriksson and Gilles, which allows his team to adapt to any style.

Moeka Minami (Rome to Brighton and Hove Albion)

Brighton announced the crash signing of Rome Center Back Minami earlier this month after paying its € 100,000 release clause. After finishing the fifth, while granting most of the goals in the last WSL campaign, the seagulls sought to harden things on the back, and Minami is an excellent defender who plays the ball that has played most of the minutes of the League for Rome in the last three seasons.

In fact, Japan's International represented 10.7% of the total open play touches from Rome in the series last season, the greatest proportion of any player in the team and the highest general general in the League. He tried 103 progressive passes, with a completion rate of 88.7%, the second highest for any gardener in the league behind his teammate Elena Linari (89.1%).

The former defender of the Urawa Reds is a formidable presence and made 80 authorizations last season, the greatest amount by a Romano player in the League, while his positioning allows him to recover possession and extinguish the danger.
