The Oklahoma Sooners are back on top.
The Sooners defeated the Texas Longhorns 8-4 in Game 2 of the Women's College World Series, winning their fourth consecutive national championship.
Oklahoma now has eight national titles in softball, tied with the Arizona Wildcats for the second most of any program, according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Sooners are the first program to win four consecutive national softball championships.
Trailing 3-2 in the fourth inning, the Sooners responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning to retake the lead for good.
The sports world praised the Sooners for another national title.
