Restricted free agent Obi Toppin intends to sign a four-year, $60 million contract to remain with the Indiana Pacers, sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Toppin became a major bench contributor for the Eastern Conference finalists.
Toppin had a career season in his first year with the Pacers, averaging 10.3 points on 57.3% shooting from the field in 21.1 minutes per game.
Toppin fit perfectly with Indiana's high-powered offense, becoming an elite playmaker. He had 101 dunks last season, and his 40.3% shooting from three is by far the best of his career.
The Pacers acquired Toppin from the New York Knicks last summer in exchange for a pair of second-round picks. New York selected Toppin with the eighth overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft.
