Senate Democrats face a violent reaction after the translation bill does not break the filibuster

The Senate Democrats faced a violent reaction on Monday after the Law on the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports could not obtain the votes he needed to break the filibuster.

The Republicans needed 60 votes but only received 51. No Democrat was put on the side of the Republicans in the bill. Two Democrats were absent from the vote, as well as two Republicans. The bill failed, 51-45.

The protection of women and girls in the sports act would require that title IX treat gender as “recognized based solely on reproductive biology and genetics of a person at birth” and would not allow any adjustment to apply to gender identity.

The bill was presented by Senator Tommy Tuberville, R-an. It would also encode one of Trump's many recent executive orders, giving policy a better longevity.

The representative of the President of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, Republican of the-La Two Chamber Democrats voted in favor of the bill in January.

“That is shocking. I can't believe that Democrats do not continue with common sense in this and the protection of women and girls,” Johnson told Fox News.

Riley Gaines, Jennifer Sey and others intervened on social networks.

President Donald Trump issued an executive order last month to ban biological men to compete in sports of women and girls. The order would retain the federal funds of the states that continue to have the transgender inclusion in the sports of women and girls.
