Robert Griffin III was one of those who intervened in the last saga of the rivalry between the basketball stars Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark, saying that Chicago Sky star “hates Caitlin Clark.”

“After seeing the flagrant fault of Caitlin Clark about Angel Reese and the sequelae, there is no way that Angel Reese can continue the lie that he does not dislike Caitlin Clark,” Griffin wrote in X. “I know how hatred looks. Angel Reese hates Caitlin Clark. There is no hatred of hate to basketball. I hate.”

Later, Griffin said that his statement was “pure based on basketball” and was simply a “sports taking.”

The temperatures exploded between Reese and Clark after the fever guard committed a flagrant foul in the sky forward. It was one of the most important moments of Indiana's 93-58 victory on Saturday.

The current NFL analyst at ESPN and former star of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Ryan Clark, reacted to Griffin's comments about the Reese-Clark drama. Clark suggested that Griffin was joining the “hate train” and was aligning with the positions that other media figures have taken.

“When RG3 jumps to the hate train or the angry train, now follow what we saw of Keith Olbermann, what we saw of Dave Portnoy, while they poured Angel Reese to make her the villain, and Caitlin Clark Heroic or Hero Story,” Clark said during a recent episode of his organ “The Pivot.”

“The only thing we know about RG3 is that they are not having conversations in their home about what black women have to endure in this country. On what young blacks and athletes like Angel Reese have had to deal with being on the opposite side of the rise and ascent of Caitlin Clark towards stardom.”

Clark then highlighted the marriage of former NFL field marshal.

“If you are RG3, when is it the last time within your home has had a conversation about what [Angel Reese is] Treating with? “Clark asked.” You have not been able to do it because in both marriages, you have been married to white women. “

Griffin is married to Grete Griffin, native of Estonia and heptatletle.

“You have not had the opportunity to have those conversations to educate you about what they are feeling, what black women try, what they are seeing when they think of a young angel reese. And all the time is imitating Angel reese and swinging their heads and moving their neck while doing all this piece, his wife is on the back and applauds.”

Griffin left ESPN in 2024. Multiple points of sale reported at the time that Griffin's dismissal was a cost reduction movement.

“When he worked with RG3, he did all these types of cheesy jokes on milk and how much he loved and the important thing he was. And he always points to social networks the color of his wife's white skin. As if the color of his skin is what makes it special. As if the color of his skin is what makes it a good wife,” Clark continued.

“I met the lady. I have had a conversation with her. I think it's more than that. But it also leads to what black women deal with many of the black men who have chosen to get out of their race.

Griffin learned of Clark's comments and turned to social networks to share his response.

“Ryan Clark personally attacks me and my family personally about a sports opinion is cowardly, without thorns and weak,” Griffin wrote in X, along with a video of more than two minutes. Griffin also declared several times that Clark's statements were “outside the limits.”
