OutKick contributor and former college swimmer Riley Gaines made an appearance Friday at former President Trump's rally in Glendale, Arizona, where she declared that she chooses to vote for Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, “I'm voting for Donald J. Trump because I'm a woman.”
Gaines, the host of the “Gaines for girls” podcast, was part of a list of speakers that included Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake and Arizona Republican Reps. Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar and Eli Crane.
Gaines' statement was in response to Democratic voters who say they will vote for Harris because she is a woman. She then mentioned several issues that matter to her as a female voter and on which she opposes Democrats. Gaines was especially critical of Democrats' stances on gender-affirming surgery.

“They don't believe in school choice, they don't believe in parental rights or child protection, they don't believe in freedom unless it's the freedom to have abortions or to chemically and surgically castrate children,” she said. “There's one group that knows what a woman is and has committed to taking decisive action to protect our sex-based rights, versus the other group that thinks men can get pregnant and tampons should be in the boys' bathrooms.”
Gaines has agreed to testify in Georgia about her experience competing and sharing a locker room with a biological male, Lia Thomas, along with four other NCAA All-American female athletes, Fox News Digital reported early Friday.

Gaines will join Reka Gyorgy, Kylee Alons, Grace Countie and Kaitlynn Wheeler, all members of the Independent Council on Women's Sports (ICONS), who filed a lawsuit against the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in March alleging the association knowingly violated Title IX by allowing Thomas to compete.

Gaines competed and eventually tied with Thomas, who identifies as female, for the 200-yard dash championships in 2022.
Gaines and the other women involved in the tournament will also reportedly recall being forced to share locker room With Thomas, the five athletes will reportedly explain how they were harmed by the actions of Georgia Tech and the NCAA and what needs to be done to protect women in the future.
