Indiana Pacers guard Bennedict Mathurin will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right shoulder, the team announced Saturday.
The surgery will be performed by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles next week, according to the team.
Mathurin, the 2024 Rising Stars MVP, averaged 14.5 points per game for a Pacers team that ranks eighth in the Eastern Conference.
He is expected to make a full recovery before the 2024-2025 season.
