Fans holding “Free Palestine” flags were thrown from Camden Yards during a Baltimore Orioles-Cleveland Guardians game Wednesday night.
Video from the Baltimore Sun's Jacob Calvin Meyer captured the moment Camden Yards security walked to the seats near the field behind home plate and ordered fans to leave.
Three fans were seen, two of whom were waving their flags as they walked up the stairs. Fans booed and jeered the protesters before the video ended.

The Orioles issued a statement through The Baltimore Sun.
“The individuals displaying political signs, which is a violation of our policy, were not seated in their ticketed seats and (incited) fans in the surrounding area. They were removed from the stadium,” the statement said.

While the Orioles allow signage at Camden Yards, the stadium's policy does not allow content that is “commercial, political and/or in poor taste, in the discretion of the Orioles.”
“The Orioles reserve the right to remove any banner at any time and individuals involved are subject to ejection,” the policy states.
This is not the first time we have seen activism for “Free Palestine” at a sporting event, and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar comes to mind. Fans were seen at a Group A match between the Netherlands and Qatar holding a large banner that stretched across several sections.
This is just one example of signs and flags saying “Free Palestine” at soccer matches.
As the conflict between Israel and Hamas continues, many have been seen protesting in the United States, especially on college campuses.
