Brazilian forward Neymar admitted that “there are days when I want to give up” during his recovery process following a serious knee injury.
The Al Hilal striker has been sidelined since October after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus in his left knee while with his international team.
Neymar, 32, opened up on Instagram about his recovery process and highlighted his resilience. He wrote: “After suffering this injury, there are days that are difficult, there are days when I want to give up. It's hard to go through all this.”
“But here is a warrior who will not stop until he gets what he wants. God is my strength and my fortress. We will continue to fight every day.”
Neymar made just five appearances for Al Hilal since joining the Saudi Pro League giants on a two-year contract in August 2023 before suffering the season-ending injury.
Brazil's all-time top scorer, Neymar, was left out of the Copa América, which Argentina won.
Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus recently said that he hopes Neymar can return to action from September.
