It's officially 2024 NBA draft week, and the big story is still what happens with the Atlanta Hawks and which player they will select with their first pick.
Ahead of the two-day draft, which begins Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET (on ABC, ESPN and ESPN+), Hawks general manager Landry Fields said his initial excitement about landing the No. 1 pick hasn't diminished as that he and his staff have examined options. as two French stars, Alex Sarr and Zaccharie Risacher, along with Kentucky guard Reed Sheppard and UConn center Donovan Clingan.
Trade talks are intensifying as NBA decision makers come up with different scenarios depending on how the draft evolves.
ESPN will be tracking every news and information until the Hawks take the podium at Barclays Center on Wednesday, and this version of the mock draft will undergo any and all modifications necessary up to draft time, based on our most recent and any first information. – or the second round is brought forward until that time.
