The new University Sports Commission has eliminated more than 8,300 agreements on the name, image and similarity of almost $ 80 million, he said Thursday in his first complete update on how the new system works.
The commission, which is in charge of approved contracts worth $ 600 or more between university athletes and third -party companies, said that 28,342 students enrolled in their Nil Go platform between June 11, when it was launched, and on August 31. Almost 3,200 “representatives” or agents had also registered.
The platform was created as part of the house settlement, which allows schools to pay athletes directly for their null, while offering them the opportunity to earn money with external groups. Nil Go is in charge of analyzing exterior offers.
He said that 332 agreements had not been authorized to date and that 75 had been sent again, while none had entered into arbitration, which is available for the parties that feel that their agreements have been erroneously rejected.
The commission said that the most common authorization problems were delay in attesting or providing required information; terms of contradictory treatment; Erroneous information of terms or errors of agreement to enter terms of agreement; and agreements that do not meet the “valid commercial purpose” requirement that caused confusion when the platform was first implemented.
The CSC said that the values of the agreements ranged up to $ 1.8 million. He said his “offers flow reports” will be updated regularly.
