Men's College Basketball: Dick Vitale All-Star Teams, Including Top Freshmen for 2023-24

March Madness is awesome, baby! It's that exciting time of year filled with upheaval, heartbreaking moments and upsets.

And what a season we have witnessed. The reigning national champion UConn Huskies are ready to etch their names in history as they strive to become the first repeat champions since Billy Donovan's tremendous Florida teams in 2006 and 2007.

Behind a formidable defense, the Houston Cougars made a seamless transition to the Big 12 and captured a conference title in their inaugural season.

Purdue's Zach Edey continues to assert his dominance as the nation's top post player. He is on pace to secure back-to-back national player of the year honors, a feat last accomplished by Virginia's Ralph Sampson in the early 1980s.

While some preseason favorites faltered, others rose to prominence, such as the South Florida Bulls in their first year under coach Amir Abdur-Rahim and the South Carolina Gamecocks, who tied for second place in the Southeastern Conference after be chosen to finish last. .

The pre-season stars were brilliant, while the new generation of Diaper Dandies kept the game exciting.

Now, without further ado, let's reveal my 2023-24 Dickie V All-Rolls Royce and Diaper Dandy teams.

Edey is a tremendous talent who has won every individual award and now needs that team title to complete his trophy case.

Sheppard's key-play ability and all-around contributions make the Wildcats a formidable force in the postseason. He also clinches a spot on my second All-Star team.
