Man United open for Rasmus Højlund – Fuentes

Manchester United is open to offers of clubs that wish to sign Rasmus Højlund, sources have told ESPN.

United remains in search of a new striker and has expressed interest in signing Benjamin Sesko by RB Leipzig and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.

Højlund has been in his contract for three years and is determined to stay and fight for his place in Old Trafford. However, the sources told ESPN that the club leaders will listen to offers to get the 22 -year -old, who was brought from Atalanta for an initial of £ 64 million in 2025.

United, according to Fuentes, believes that they can afford to spend on a striker No. 9 without having to let the players go in this window.

Sesko and Watkins are the main objectives, but the attempts to sign Sesko have been complicated by Newcastle United's interest, which has presented a formal offer that is worth around £ 70 million. United has also contacted RB Leipzig and discussions are ongoing.

Leipzig is one of several clubs to express interest in Højlund, who achieved only four goals from the Premier League last season. The Denmark International has also been linked to the sides of the series A Napoli and Juventus.

The head of United, Ruben Amorim, has refused to be attracted to the future of Højlund. And, after scoring in the 4-1 victory over Bournemouth in Chicago on Wednesday, Højlund insisted that he wants to stay.

“I think the most important thing for me is to continue working hard and stay focused and then obviously we will see what happens,” he said. “I think my plan is very clear and it is for me staying and fighting for my place, whatever happens.”
