Liverpool and Aston Villa shared the spoils in a 3-3 Premier League draw on Monday night, when a dramatic late collapse at Villa Park saw the Reds concede twice five minutes from full-time.
Liverpool took the lead into the second minute when goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez made a mess of Harvey Elliott's deflected cross, but it didn't take long for the Villains to equalize when Ollie Watkins cut in for Youri Tielemans 10 minutes later.
Liverpool regained their lead thanks to Cody Gakpo, who converted the empty goal after Martínez failed to clear Joe Gómez's shot out of danger, and the Reds took the lead at half-time thanks to an open goal miss by Diego Carlos and a shot over the crossbar. by Moussa Diaby.
Liverpool scored their third shortly after the break when Jarell Quansah guided in an Elliott free kick. But then Villa came back strongly at the end with a quick brace from Jhon Durán, the second goal being a deflected control of a pass over Alisson.

Positives
Liverpool had nothing at stake and played quite calmly, taking advantage of counterattacks and without pressing with much intensity. They created a lot of chances at Villa Park and were perhaps unlucky not to come away with the three points.
Negatives
Liverpool's streak without a clean sheet in the Premier League continues in a game in which they should have defended better at times.
Manager rating (1-10; 10 = best)
Jürgen Klopp, 6 years old. Klopp was one booking away from missing his sending off at Anfield and appeared composed throughout the game amid a frenetic finish. He couldn't have changed much in any of the goals, with individual errors costly for his team.
Player ratings
Goalkeeper Alisson Becker, 5 — There wasn't much he could have done about the Tielemans strike. Defeated twice by Jhon Durán after the restart, although he was unlucky in the second. After that, he made an important save against Diaby.
Defense Virgil van Dijk, 6 — Composed in possession when advancing the ball and unflappable in duels. He organized the line well by catching the opponent offside.
Defenseman Jarell Quansah, 7 — Partly to blame for Aston Villa's goal after being beaten by Watkins, but he made amends in the second half with an unstoppable header that beat Martínez.
D.F. Joe Gomez, 7 years old. He looked the most alert in Liverpool's defense and was often required to match Watkins' pace. He had a hand in the second goal after his shot was deflected into the path of Gakpo. He used his pace well to stop Aston Villa developing attacks.
Defenseman Trent Alexander-Arnold, 6 — He took his time in possession and often made the right decision, helping to unlock Liverpool's attackers in dangerous areas on a consistent basis.
MF Wataru Endo, 6 years old — He pressed well to interrupt Aston Villa's preparatory game. Insured and safe in possession. A solid performance before being substituted in the 76th minute.
MF Alexis Mac Allister, 4 years old — He gave the ball away on the counterattack against the Aston Villa goal, and was able to get closer to Tielemans. Not as influential as usual, and he was to blame for Villa's second after losing concentration before Durán overtook Alisson.
MF Harvey Elliott, 7 years old — He played a part in Liverpool's first goal when his cross was deflected by Pau Torres and Martínez in goal was unable to hold on. He got an assist with a pinpoint free kick for Quansah's header in the second half.
Forward Cody Gakpo, 7 years old — Gakpo collected the ball in the central areas to help link play and put Liverpool ahead for the second time in the first half by getting into the right area. Another promising performance from the striker, who has regained form of late.
FROM Luis Díaz, 6 years old — The Colombian international got into some promising positions but could have been better with his finishing touch. Narrowly offside as he ran before cutting back for Elliott's disallowed goal.
Forward Mohamed Salah, 7 years old — A constant threat down the right flank for Liverpool, where he often outplayed his marker Lucas Digne. He took smart positions to trouble the Aston Villa defense and impressed with his link-up play.

Darwin Núñez (Gakpo, 75″), N/R — He couldn't get enough contact on his effort from a distance that was simple enough for Martinez to handle. Shortly after he had the ball in the net but was offside.

Curtis Jones (Diaz, 76″), N/R — He did not get involved when presented with Aston Villa enjoying the momentum.
