Burnley has signed Kyle Walker from Manchester City in a two -year contract.

ESPN reported Friday that the move was close and that it could be worth up to £ 5 million for the city if certain bonds related to performance are met.

The former Tottenham Hotspur Walker player joined City in 2017 and has made more than 200 appearances in the League for them. But Pep Guardiola manager revealed in January that Walker had asked to leave the club at the end of the season.

“I'm delighted to be here,” Walker said. “When I talked to Scott and heard about his plans for the next season, it was an opportunity I took.

“Burnley had a tremendous campaign last season, based on an incredible defensive record, and I can't wait to enter and add my experience and quality to what an exciting team looks like.”

The 35 -year -old spent the second half of last season in AC Milan, although Italian giants decided not to make their movement permanent.

Walker was omitted from the Pep Guardiola team for the FIFA Club World Cup. He still has a year left in his contract at the Etihad stadium.

The right side has been linked to the movements to Fenerbahce and Everton, but has prioritized a transfer to a Premier League club this summer, since it seeks to be disputed by a place in the England team before the 2026 World Cup.

Burnley, administered by former Tottenham teammate from Walker, Scott Parker, said the promotion of return to the first last season.
