Kyle Larson held off Tyler Reddick in the Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway to earn his first win of the 2024 NASCAR season on Sunday.
The No. 5 Hendrick Motorsports driver won the fall race at Las Vegas last season, giving his team its second victory in the first three races of the season. Reddick, who almost made it to the Championship Four last season, simply didn't have enough to catch Larson in the closing laps.

Larson celebrated the victory with his son, Owen, on the frontstretch.
“I knew Tyler was going to be the guy to beat from the first stage,” Larson told FOX Sports' Jamie Little after the race. “It was really fast there. I was hoping those guys would keep racing a little bit more because I felt like time was going to run out and he was racing really hard and getting the Toyota to catch me at the end.”
“Luckily, I was able to lock it in the air for a couple of turns and tighten it up… All in all, a great job by the Chevy team at Hendrick Cars, just their execution.”
