Juventus and Massimiliano Allegri have decided to terminate their former coach's contract by mutual agreement, the Serie A club reported on Monday.
The 56-year-old was fired in May for his behavior during and after the Coppa Italia final in which he was sent off as Juventus beat Atalanta 1-0 to win a record 15th Coppa Italia.

Allegri earned a red card in added time for sarcastically applauding the referee when he became angry over a decision and ripped off his jacket. Italian media reported that Allegri was also aggressive towards journalists after the match.
Juventus said in a statement that Allegri's behavior was not in line with its “values.”
Allegri was Juventus coach for eight years during two periods, from 2014-2019 and 2021-2024, leading the team to five Serie A titles, five Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups.
“Juventus Football Club and Massimiliano Allegri can confirm that they have mutually agreed to terminate their contract at the end of the current season,” Juventus said in a statement.
“The club thanks Massimiliano Allegri for the results obtained during his years at the head of the team and wishes him the best for his professional future.”
The Italian club appointed Paolo Montero, coach of the under-19 team, to take charge of the remainder of the 2023-24 Serie A season.
The 52-year-old won four Serie A titles with Juventus during his playing days between 1996 and 2005.
On June 1, Juventus began the process of rejoining the Association of European Clubs, after withdrawing from plans to form a European Super League.
