Cristiano Ronaldo could be the goat for many fans around the world of football, but not all in his home agree, with the star of Portugal admitting that his own son prefers Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé.
Ronaldo scored twice in the comfortable victory of Saudi Pro League of Al Nassr over the weekend to go to the top of the goal lists of the division, but that was not enough to impress his 5 -year -old son.
In an excerpt from an upcoming interview with the Spanish departure La Sexta, Ronaldo admitted that the captain of France has surpassed him in his son's eyes.
“Mateo, he really likes Mbappé,” Ronaldo said. “Sometimes he tells me: 'Hello dad, Mbappé is better than you', and I answer: 'No, I am better than him, I have scored more goals.”
Mbappé, who knows that he has idolized Ronaldo in his youth, has begun to emulate some of his exploits in Bernabéu in recent weeks after his high profile movement of Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
After his Hat Trick against Real Valladolid on Saturday, Mbappé now has 15 goals in LaLiga, second in the Pichichi Carrera behind Robert Lewandowski in Barcelona. Ronaldo scored a 450 goals club record for The whites between 2009 and 2018.
Mbappé has the opportunity to continue his streak later on Wednesday against Brest, while Ronaldo is the next one in action against Raed on Thursday.
