Cincinnati's prominent, Jizzle James, a selection of honor mention of All-Big 12 last season and son of the Corridor of the Hall of Fame, Edgerrin James, has been fired from the team, according to a statement from coach Wes Miller.
James was seen as one of the best players in the League after elite performances last year against some of the best teams in the Big 12, including Houston, Iowa State and Texas Tech. He averaged 12.7 ppg as a second year student with the Bearcats.
“Jizzle James has been dealing with personal problems throughout the summer,” Miller said in a statement on Tuesday. “We eliminate it from the team last month. He is currently not a member of our basketball program. As this is a personal matter, I will not have more comments at this time.”
Although his father starred in the grill, James chose basketball and received offers from ACC and SEC schools in high school. Cincinnati chosen over Georgia and LSU.
James gave no indication about his current situation on Instagram, where his most recent history showed him exercising.
