Fitness guru Jillian Michaels criticized the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games for what he called a “mockery” of “The Last Supper.”
Michaels addressed the LGBTQ+ community on social media for the “hypocrisy” and “lack of understanding” she says she saw in the “Last Supper” parody, which featured several drag queen performers.
“Dear fellow gays… We demand tolerance and respect, but then we mock something that is sacred to us. “more than 2 billion Christians,” Michaels wrote in a post on X.

“This kind of hypocrisy and lack of understanding is a bad image. We get outraged when the far right attacks us, but then we do this shit. What kind of reaction do you think they'll have towards the LGBTQ+ community after this? This is NOT how barriers are broken down, but how they are built.”
Michaels added to the massive outrage that followed the performance on Friday night. Several drag queens and other performers were seen mocking the famous scene painted by Leonardo da Vinci, depicting Jesus and his apostles sharing a last supper before the crucifixion.

Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker, who went viral in May for sharing his faith-based views during a commencement speech at a Catholic college in Kansas, also criticized the performance on social media, calling it “crazy.”
He also quoted a passage from the Bible that says: “Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked.”
