Aaron Rodgers will return to the New York Jets' training camp on Monday night when they open the season against the reigning NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.
It's been a year since NFL fans saw Rodgers play on offense. He injured his Achilles tendon on the Jets' first series of the 2023 season. Now, he's worked his way to the finish line and is ready to lead the team to what fans have been waiting for: the playoffs.

NFL legend Brett Favre, whom Rodgers succeeded with the Green Bay Packers, told TMZ Sports in an interview published Monday that he hoped the NFL star would be as good as he has been.
“I've always said that when anyone asks me about it. Say what you want about Aaron, but he's unquestionably the best player in the game right now,” Favre said. “He can, for lack of a better term, make chicken salad out of chicken poop pretty quickly.”
Favre said there was “no reason” the Jets couldn't compete for the AFC Championship with a healthy Rodgers and a solid defense.

“I think the San Francisco 49ers have the best team on paper in the NFL right now,” he said. “But can they get the job done in the clutch when it really matters? Over the last two years, they haven't been able to do that. They've signed everyone. Everyone is happy on their team. There are no excuses anymore. Can they finally get the job done? We'll see.”
