YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul has his sights set on the 2028 Summer Olympics.
Paul said the lack of success by American boxers in Paris left him disappointed but also inspired him to showcase his talent when the Summer Games return to the U.S. in four years. Omari Jones' bronze represents the Americans' only medal before Saturday.
There are no third-place matches at the Olympics, so a competitor need only advance to the semi-final round to receive a bronze medal.

The 27-year-old Ohio native and younger brother of professional wrestler Logan Paul has pledged to step into the ring when the Olympics return to Los Angeles in four years.
“I'm going to be competing in the 2028 Olympics to box in Los Angeles,” Paul, who turns 31 in 2028, told Betr. “I'm tired of waiting and hoping for a gold for Team USA.”

Although some have questioned whether he will retire at some point in the next few years, Paul seems motivated to continue competing.
“I'm not retiring,” Paul added. “I'm definitely not going to retire. I'm probably just going to add a couple more years to my boxing career.”
Aside from Jones' bronze, Jahmal Harvey came close to winning a medal in the featherweight division, but Harvey was defeated by Kyrgyzstan's Munarbek Seitbek-Uulu in the quarter-finals.
Paul has had some success since turning professional, winning all but one of his bouts as a cruiserweight. However, none of his victories were considered particularly notable.
Paul won his last fight in July against former UFC fighter Mike Perry via technical knockout.
“You heard it here first, gold medal… You're mine,” Paul told the outlet.
But before he goes after a gold medal, Paul will focus on his upcoming fight with Mike Tyson. The fight was originally scheduled for July but was called off after Tyson suffered health complications.
Despite the delay, Paul maintains he will be ready when the fight happens.
“I'm ready when you are. This is too big an opportunity. This fight is going to change the world.” Paul said in a video posted on X in June. The fight has been rescheduled for November and will take place at AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Paul added that Tyson's health was the priority.
“I want Mike to be healthy. And he keeps saying he's going to knock me out and that I've bought myself some time,” he added, laughing. “So Mike keeps talking nonsense out there.”
