Grand Canyon put five runs on the plate in the inning to tie the game at eight apiece. The Cornhuskers broke the deadlock in the top of the eighth and ultimately won the game 10-8.
“What we didn't like was that after we tied (the Grand Slam), we worked really hard and took big swings to tie the game,” Grand Canyon head coach Gregg Wallis said after the game, via the site school website.

“Then I felt like everyone was trying to do it with one swing instead of continuing with the approach that got us back into the game. We'll fix that.”
