There is no event in high school basketball that drives elite status players to family names as instantly as Sprite Jam Fest, the annual prelude to the All American Games of McDonald's.
From LeBron James to Vince Carter and Candace Parker, the stars of the high school have put on aerial exhibitions that prepare the stage for their future stardom in the NBA and the WNBA.
On Monday, the next lot of stars will be tied at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
In anticipation of amazing amazing acts, we focus on some of the best moments of the prestigious event over the years.
1995, St. Louis
Vince Carter put the world in warning of what was to come, sliding down the air and throwing a creative overtown after a creative overturned to eliminate the future member of the Basketball Fame Paul Pierce. Carter won the NBA Dunk contest in 2000 and is widely considered one of the best walkers in heaven that the game has seen.
2002, New York
Carmelo Anthony won a duel with Amar'e Stoudemire when he left approximately one foot in front of the free throw line and threw a strong Ñreza. Stoudemire tried to unite Anthony and take off from the real free throw line, but the dump was lost, giving the future the NBA all star the hardware.
2003, Cleveland
It could be argued that all the criticisms that LeBron James has captured throughout his career for never participating in a NBA overturned contest is based on emotion after his performance in his only dump contest in Cleveland. The apparent 18 -year -old shook the edge with cock and wind mills, taking Jr Giddens and Shannon Brown in front of what was basically the crowd of his hometown.
2004, Oklahoma City
Candace Parker tactically dismantled the competition to become the first woman to win the volley contest, taking out high flyers like Josh Smith, Rudy Gay and Jr Smith. The three participated in the NBA Dunk contest, which Smith won the following year. Parker's best overturned came when he covered his eyes with his left arm and threw a vicious blow with the right.
From Parker's victory, Ashlyn Watkins and Fran Belibi are the other two women who took home La Corona.
2007, Louisville
Even as a last year student of high school, Blake Griffin was loosening the hinges on the tires throwing their characteristic monsters scolding. Griffin dazzled the crowd with a windmill outside the package and a 360 dump out of the bouncing in the finals to eliminate future NBA players such as Patrick Patterson and Michael Beasley.
2008, Milwaukee
Demar Derozan owned the night, using his vertical jump of 38.5 inches to throw acrobatic overtions: an inverse Eastbay, a hanging windmill and a touch of backboard ricochet ricochet of the rebound that hypnotized the crowd and finally earned him the hardware.
2018, Atlanta
The buzzing that surrounds the overturned contest that year was deafening, due to Zion Williamson. The 6 -foot 7 wing was a viral sensation in its last three years of high school, throwing the most vicious overtions on the defenders, while attracting crowds of thousands regularly. From its 360 wind pier to the cocks to its Eastbay, outside the glass, Williamson lived up to the high exaggeration to take the hardware home.
