Florida Ad Scott Stricklin obtains a role of semi-iriro

Gainesville, Florida-the Atlético de los Florida Gators, Scott Stricklin director, will earn more than $ 2 million a year after signing an extension of three years that keeps it under contract until October 2030.

Stricklin's new agreement also includes a provision that would make it a “special assistant to the Atlético director” for five years from 2030. It is a role similar to former Florida announcement, Jeremy Foley, assumed after his retirement in 2016.

Stricklin, 55, signed the extension in June, two months after the Gators won their third national championship in male basketball. Florida published details on Wednesday in response to a request for public records by Associated Press and other media.

Stricklin's previous agreement paid $ 1.8 million annually and extended up to 2027. He obtained an increase of $ 250,000 and could earn up to $ 2,175 million a year with bonds.

But the most interesting part of the new agreement was his role as Semi-Rireo, that the president of the outgoing interim school, Kent Fuchs, signed this summer. The new interim president of Florida, Dr. Donald Landry, was confirmed last month, and a search committee is expected to start looking for a permanent leader at the beginning of next year.

Stricklin's duties as a special assistant would be determined by the president of the university and will not “interfere or undermine” the functions or authority of the new announcement.

Stricklin would obtain $ 100,000 annually for those five years plus basic benefits, as well as the use of the athletic association aircraft for a value of up to $ 55,000, an office, administrative support and tickets of the seats of courtesy clubs for football games, male basketball games and baseball games.

Hired to replace Foley in 2016, Stricklin has enjoyed 13 national titles and 44 conference crowns while led one of the most recognizable brands in university sports. It has been fundamental to help gators navigate the always changing panorama of university sports, including income exchange and name payments, image and likeness, as well as up to date on the search for facilities.

Under Stricklin, Florida opened a football installation of $ 85 million and a baseball stadium of $ 65 million. The sports program also has preliminary plans to embark on a renewal of $ 1 billion to the Ben Hill Griffin stadium, better known as “The Swamp.”

He hired the current Florida football coach, Billy Napier, who enjoyed an increase in the season at the end of the season to close 2024 and occupies the 13th place in the latest AP University football survey. He also hired the male basketball coach Todd Golden, who won everything in his third season in Gainesville.
