Evangelos Marinakis has taken a step back from his property duties in Nottingham Forest while the club prepares for the qualification of the Champions League.
The sixth forest are strong contenders to seal an end among the top five in the Premier League and qualify for the next season champions. They are level at points with fifth place Chelsea and Trail Manchester City for a fourth point.
Marinakis also has Olympiacos, which has 13 clear points at the top of the Greek Super League and will compete in the Champions League next year.
His decision to renounce control in Forest accumulates in the light of the UEFA decision that prohibits clubs under the same group of owners to compete in the same European competition.
The archived documents to the Business House showed that the Greek entrepreneur will be “to stop being a significant control person” in the Premier League team, and his club actions are put in a blind trustee.
In separate presentations, Pittville One Limited was appointed as a significant control person, while Sokratis Kominakis, owned part of NF Football Investments, was appointed director.
Meanwhile, the former Arsenal sports director, Edu, will lead the group of multiple Marinakis clubs, which also includes the Brazilian team Río Ave. Edu renounced his role in the Arsenal in November 2024 after five years in the club.
