Spain (Euro winners in 1964, 2008 and 2012) have undoubtedly been the most exciting team in the tournament, scoring goals with ease and never disappointing fans or neutrals with passive, conservative football. France (winners in 1984 and 2000), by contrast, have struggled to entertain their opponents, struggling throughout the tournament with their defence as the likes of Kylian Mbappé (one goal at Euro 2024) and Ousmane Dembélé find their goalscoring form.
