Douglas Luiz completes transfer from Aston Villa to Juventus


Juventus have completed the signing of Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa, the Serie A club announced.

The Brazilian international, who participates in the Copa América in the United States, passed a medical before signing a five-year contract with the Turin club.

In a statement, Juventus confirmed that it had agreed a fee of 50 million euros ($53.5 million) with Villa for the player.

With Villa keen to complete Luiz's transfer by June 30 to meet their obligations under the Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) gave Juventus permission for the player to undergo a medical exam in Las Vegas, Nevada, before Friday.
