Noah Lyles won the 100-meter race at the Paris Olympics, earning the first gold medal of his Olympic career.

Hill, responding to Lyles' comments about NBA champions not being world champions, said he could beat Lyles in a sprint in an interview on “Up & Adams.”

“Noah Lyles can't say anything after what he just went through,” Hill said. “Then he wants to go out and pretend he's sick. I think that's just silly. For him to do that and say we're not world champions in our sport, let's talk about what we know and that's what athletics is all about.”

Adams asked Hill if he wanted to compete with Lyles.

“I'd beat Noah Lyles… I wouldn't beat him by much, but I'd beat Noah Lyles. When I beat him, I'll put on a COVID mask and let him know I'm serious.”

Hill then added two more poles to the fire.

“I'd like to be in a race in 2028,” he wrote on X along with a photo of himself in an athletics uniform.
