Going from college football to the NFL is enough of an adjustment, but Caleb Williams will have one more factor to deal with, Deion Sanders says.
The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner is likely to be the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft, which is held by the Chicago Bears.
Williams has spent the last two years at the University of Southern California after spending one season at Oklahoma.

The 22-year-old grew up in Washington, DC, so he's not totally a stranger to the Northeast. However, Sanders is concerned about Williams going from playing most of his football in a warm climate to potentially frigid temperatures.
“Let me tell you something I have a problem with. And this guy can play at full speed. I think he's the best one on the board this year for sure. A guy who's been coming from California for a couple of years, right? And I went to Oklahoma. That's not very cold. Chicago is cold, man,” Sanders told Mad Dog Sports Radio, via Pro Football Talk.
“You have to think about those kinds of things when you take a young man. For example, when you take a kid from Ohio State and bring him to Chicago, okay, I could understand that. But from California to Chicago? Not only that, but “They added what? One or two more games in the NFL. Seventeen games. Come on, man. You gotta keep those things in mind. That matters.”
Sanders' son, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, is entering the 2025 NFL Draft, and dad fears his son is dealing with a similar situation to Williams.

“I don't want my son [Shedeur] He's not going anywhere cold next year. She grew up in Texas. He played at Jackson, he played at Colorado. The season ends before it gets cold in Colorado. I'm just thinking about the future. “I don't want that for him.”
