Deion Sanders concluded his first season as head coach of the Colorado football team in November. The NFL legend moved from Mississippi to Colorado after spending the last three seasons leading the Jackson State football program.
Sanders finished his Jackson State career with a 27-6 record. Shortly after taking the head coaching job in Colorado, the Pro Football Hall of Famer put his Mississippi home up for sale.
He proceeded to purchase property in Longmont, Colorado in 2023, which is approximately 15 miles from Boulder. But, thanks to the generosity of his three children, Sanders now has a beautiful new property closer to the Colorado campus to call home.

Colorado football stars Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, along with their older brother Deion Jr., purchased a home for their father in the Boulder area. A portion of the property was shown in a video posted on social media on Saturday.

The house is located in the mountains and Sanders' children joked that the house covered “three time zones.” In a video shared on Deion Jr.'s Well Off Media YouTube account, Coach Prime referred to his children as “natural givers.”
“My three kids thought they wanted me to watch this. Because they're going to want to make sure I'm straight,” the two-time Super Bowl champion said.
“For you three to want to put it together, just to make sure I'm in order when you're gone, that's amazing, son,” Sanders said. “It almost brings a tear to the eye. Look at that man. It's one thing to look at the mountains, but it's one thing to be in the mountains. We're in the mountains. You know how much I love the water, so just walking around and seeing this view.”
Shilo, a defensive back, and quarterback Shedeur will return to Boulder next season. Statistically speaking, Shedeur was one of the nation's best passers in 2023. He finished the season with 3,230 passing yards and 27 touchdowns against three interceptions.
Meanwhile, Shilo finished the year with one interception and four forced fumbles.
There were some rumors that Shedeur might forgo his final year of eligibility and declare for the NFL Draft. He finally decided to return to Colorado and play for his father for one more year. Earlier this month, the Buffaloes quarterback explained his decision.
“Everyone knows I won't be making a statement this year,” Sanders wrote in a post on X, the company formerly known as Twitter. “We have the pieces we need to succeed this year.”
Sanders and Colorado football captivated the country after opening the season with three straight wins. But the Buffaloes' fortunes changed quickly after a promising start and the team finished the year with a 4-8 record.
It has been seven seasons since Colorado qualified for a bowl game.
