Davis Fogle, No. 38 recruit in the '25 class, commits to Gonzaga

Top-50 guard Davis Fogle announced his commitment to Gonzaga on Thursday, giving Mark Few his first recruit in the class of 2025.

Fogle recently narrowed his list to Gonzaga, Creighton and Kansas, but he visited the Bulldogs' campus last weekend and quickly opted to stay in his home state to attend college. He had also visited Nebraska last fall, but the Cornhuskers were not a factor down the stretch.

The 6-foot-7 forward from Arizona Compass Prep (Ariz.) is a Washington native and is ranked No. 38 on ESPN’s list for the class of 2025. He was one of the biggest risers this spring, moving up nearly 40 spots on the ESPN 100 list thanks to his recent participation in the NBPA Top 100 and Pangos All American camps, as well as the Under Armour Rise circuit with the Seattle Select grassroots program.

At NBPA camp, Fogle averaged 15.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists, shooting nearly 59% from inside the arc.

ESPN national scouting director Paul Biancardi compared Fogle to Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves.

Fogle is the first American high school player Gonzaga has signed since the class of 2023, as Few landed four transfers and Senegalese Ismaila Diagne from Real Madrid in the class of 2024. But Fogle could be the start of a high-level high school group for the Zags in 2025.

Gonzaga also has its eye on five-star guard Isiah Harwell (No. 13), an Idaho native who included the Bulldogs on his final four list and took an official visit to Spokane during the season. Another player on its list is Nikolas Khamenia (No. 31), who has made multiple trips to the Zags’ campus.
