Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes defeated their in-state rivals, the Colorado State Rams, on Saturday night, and based on what he did when the final whistle blew, the quarterback was clearly aware of what his opponents were saying before the game.
Sanders was seen shaking hands with some Rams coaches as Colorado State quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi approached him to do the same.
But Sanders was quick to withdraw his hand and began attacking Fowler-Nicolosi.

“You were talking shit on Instagram. Talking on Instagram. We mind our own business. You can't fuck with me,” Sanders was heard telling Fowler-Nicolosi, who walked away saying, “Keep talking.”
For reference, Fowler-Nicolosi was heard talking before this game about last year's double-overtime game against the Buffaloes, where Colorado was a 27.5-point favorite.

“They came out with that attitude and thought it was going to be a piece of cake,” Fowler-Nicolosi said during an interview. “They saw the reports, 27.5 points, or whatever, and they got a very unpleasant surprise. And I think that shows that the propaganda, the media train, all that, only gets you so far.”
“At the end of the day, you have to line up 11 guys against our 11 guys, and we'll find out who wants it more and see how far their Instagram followers take them.”

The Instagram followers' comment sparked much debate on social media, and was also promoted by Colorado State wide receiver Tony Horton.
“We all came here to play football, so at the end of the day, the millions of followers and fans that they produced and got and the celebrities that stood by them because of who Deion Sanders is. At the end of the day, Deion Sanders is not going to play,” Horton said. “It's those players that play the game, so those players stand behind what they say.”
Horton added: “We should have killed those guys. We came for revenge.”
Sanders and the Buffaloes certainly backed up his play on Saturday night, as he threw for 310 yards and four touchdowns. Plus, two of those touchdowns went to versatile star Travis Hunter in the 28-7 win.
Sanders was also seen saying things to Colorado State fans during the game, so he was clearly there to prove something after a bad loss to Nebraska the week before.
Meanwhile, Fowler-Nicolosi threw for 209 yards with two interceptions.
