“I was sitting at home simply dating my roommates and my mother calls me to cry,” he explained on Wednesday, through Fox Carolina. “And I say, 'What's happening?' She is crying, seeing if I'm fine.

The claim was made on a Clemson message board. He said Klubnik was injured in a car accident and could not move his arm.

The star of the Tigers called him a “messy joke.”

“I don't know who he was, but man, just ashamed for the pain they had to put the people I love for,” he added. “I'm not really interested in talking about that, but it was a messy joke, whatever. But I'm fine.”

Klubnik's skills are a great reason why Clemson entered the season in the 4th place in the Associated Press Top 25.

He had 3,639 air yards and 36 TouchDown passes last season. Clemson finished 10-4 in general and 7-1 against opponents of ACC. The Tigers lost in the first round of the University Soccer playoff against Texas.
