SYLVANIA, Ohio — Chanettee Wannasaen won the Dana Open for Children on Sunday for her second LPGA Tour title, birdieing the final two holes to hold off Haeran Ryu by one stroke.
Three shots ahead of playing partner Ryu entering the round, Wannasaen closed with a 4-under 67 to finish at 20-under 264 at Highland Meadows.
“The last day I can't calm down because my heart is like boom, boom, boom, boom,” Wannasaen said. “Every hole.”
The 20-year-old Thai player won the Portland Classic last year.
“Right now, I feel like I'm going for my third trophy,” Wannasaen said. “Yes, I think I'll get it.”

Ryu shot 65, and also birdied the final two holes.
“It made me a little nervous,” Wannasaen said.
Ryu had six birdies and a bogey on the back nine.
“I wanted to go to the playoffs,” said the South Korean player. “But I made some really good shots and almost made it.”
Defending champion Linn Grant of Sweden and Ssu-Chia Cheng of Taiwan tied for third at 14 under each with a 68.
“I'm going home for two weeks,” Grant said. “Just to relax a little bit before the Olympics.”
China's Xiyu “Janet” Lin (70) and Mary Liu (69) finished 12 under par. Lin was the highest-ranked player in the group, ranked No. 15 in the world.
Stacy Lewis, the 39-year-old Texan born in nearby Toledo, shot 70 to tie for seventh at 10 under. She won the last of her 13 LPGA Tour titles in 2020.
“I'm exhausted, but it was a fantastic week,” Lewis said. “It's some of the best golf I've played all year. I played well today, but I couldn't do anything around the hole.”
