Celtics great Paul Pierce stomps on Jalen Brunson's Knicks jersey after New York's Game 7 loss

Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Pierce took one more shot against the New York Knicks on Sunday following their Game 7 loss to the Indiana Pacers.

Pierce posted a video on social media showing himself stomping on a Jalen Brunson jersey.

“What are you saying, buddy? Are they talking? Are they still talking? I can't believe it, huh. What are you saying? Are they still talking? No, get out of here,” he was heard saying in the clip. .

It's unclear why Pierce was upset. The Knicks attempted to play through a host of injuries, which kept Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson sidelined. Josh Hart and OG Anunoby were injured during the Pacers' series and Brunson broke his hand in a 130-109 loss in Game 7.

Anunoby played sparingly due to a hamstring injury. Hart played most of the game hampered by an abdominal strain.

“I'm extremely proud of what we did this season,” Hart told reporters via SNY TV. “Through all the injuries we kept fighting, we didn't make excuses, and I'm happy with that. We gave it our all and we're building something. That's a hopeful thing. This offseason, everyone get in the gym and get better.

Reggie Miller also went after the Knicks in an Instagram post.

“When the series CHANGED!!” Miller wrote. “Jalen Brunson, you are a true BALLER, you have been the best player in these playoffs, but you and your guys can heal together on some beautiful beaches in Cancun, enjoy!! #PacersKnicksRivalryLives #GodDontLikeUgly.”

Brunson said afterward, “I'm proud of what we were able to do this year and the way we fought.”
