Bryson DeChambeau invites Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce to play

After winning the 2024 US Open, Bryson DeChambeau could have two new opponents to defeat on the golf course: Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce.

Mahomes posted “GREAT bunker shot!” on X after DeChambeau's saved shot from the sand on Sunday on the final hole of the US Open.

DeChambeau returned the compliment, saying that he, Mahomes and Kelce could all break 50, which could be a reference to DeChambeau's “Break 50” YouTube series. The Chiefs quarterback quickly responded to DeChambeau, hinting at a meeting on the green.

DeChambeau continued to save his bunker on Sunday with a single putt for a score of 6 under par in the event and his second US Open victory.

The Kansas City duo is no stranger to a golf outing.

They faced off against Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson on Capital One's “The Match” last June at the Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas. Mahomes and Kelce emerged victorious in the 12-hole format.

DeChambeau also competed in The Match, going one-on-one against Brooks Koepka in 2021. Koepka dominated en route to victory. He only needed eight of the 12 holes, as DeChambeau conceded the goal on the ninth.
